• Everyone plays the same game. Best of a set number of attempts — only your highest valid score counts.
• Scores are created and verified on our servers, not self-reported — the winner is whoever genuinely scored highest.
• There is no random draw, spin, or chance element anywhere in how a winner is chosen.

This is the detail we think matters most if you're weighing this question yourself. Some competitions on SkillArena fund their prize from entry fees collected across all participants. Where a competition prize is instead backed by a named sponsor, we say so clearly on that competition's page — "Sponsored by [name]" — with a link to their site. A sponsored prize is funded independently of the entry-fee pool.

We mention this distinction because it's a detail we've seen raised consistently in Islamic discussions of skill competitions with entry fees — whether the prize is drawn from participants' own pooled fees, or provided independently by a non-participating party.
